Many thanks to Katie Ugolini and Charles McGee, board members of the Northeast Coalition of Neighborhoods, for the invitation and opportunity to shoot photos at the annual Volunteer Appreciation Party held at King Park.
The Northeast Coalition of Neighborhoods is comprised of 12 culturally diverse and vibrant inner North and Northeast Portland neighborhoods and their associations: Alameda, Boise, Concordia, Eliot, Grant Park, Humbolt, Irvington, King, Sabin, Sullivan’s Gulch, Vernon and Woodlawn.
The neighborhood associations are volunteer-run groups of community members who advocate for their neighborhood through addressing issues likeland use; transportation; public safety; and mentorship of new leadership.
City of Portland Commissioner Amanda Fritz helped recognize volunteers honored for exemplary service. View the NECN blog post that includes the full set of photos from the event.
