The City of Portland Human Rights Commission is partnering with the United Nations Association of the USA–Portland and the City of Portland Commission on Disability to host a City Candidate Forum from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19.
The event will be held at Community Music Center, 3350 SE Francis, in Portland. The Center is located one block south of Powell Blvd. at 33rd Place, near the 9 and the 75 bus lines. Spanish translation services will be available.
Dr. Jim Moore, Director of the Tom McCall Center for Policy Innovation at Pacific University, will moderate the candidate forum. Mayoral candidates Charlie Hales and Jefferson Smith, as well as Commissioner candidates Amanda Fritz and Mary Nolan. Hear the candidates address questions and issues regarding human rights, social justice and equity in our Portland.
