Join the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) for a virtual rally culminating a week of direct action and celebrating our collective organizing and community building.
In the last week, in every state across the country, organizers, activists, and allies took to the streets to demand justice and accountability and to defund the police and invest in building healthy and strong communities. And we’re just getting started. There is still a lot of work to be done. M4BL calls upon all organizers, activists and allies to continue to place pressure on our elected officials to move resources from punitive systems to sustainable communities. We have to push for the rights, resources and dignity of black people.
The Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) formed in December of 2014, was created as a space for Black organizations across the country to debate and discuss the current political conditions, develop shared assessments of what political interventions were necessary in order to achieve key policy, cultural and political wins, convene organizational leadership in order to debate and co-create a shared movement wide strategy. Under the fundamental idea that we can achieve more together than we can separately.
Join M4BL’s virtual rally at 2PM ET on June 5 to hear from organizers across the country. M4BL will share demands and ways for folks to continue to take action.
