Clark College welcomed participants at the first Northwest Minority and Women Business Excellence Conference, held in Vancouver, Wash. this weekend. Keynote speakers included notable entrepreneurs Tina Kuna, founder of the successful franchise Dream Dinners, and Enrique Washington, co-founding partner of Generator Group LLC.
The event was a huge success, thanks to the organizational prowess of Shareefah Abdullah, founder and president of Hot Ovations Communications. Among the workshop presenters who shared industry know-how included Michele Larsen, publisher of the NW Women's Journal; Greg Wolley, City of Portland Bureau of Purchases; Izad Khormaee, e1 Solutions; Joseph Pugh, TriQuint Semiconductor Inc.
