The League of Minority Voters' Hope and Liberty Awards will be held from 5:30 to 8:30pm on Thursday, June 28, at the Lloyd DoubleTree by Hilton, 1000 NE Multnomah Street in Portland, Oregon.
This year's event will recognize Honorable Justice Adrienne Nelson, Associate Justice of the Oregon Supreme Court for her tireless service to upholding civil rights, equity and justice for all, especially the most vulnerable members of diverse communities in Oregon.
Judge Nelson made history by becoming the first African-American Supreme Court Justice in Oregon.She served as a judge on Multnomah County Circuit Court from 2006 through 2018.
Other honorees include:

- Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler
- Jeff Nudelman, VP/General Counsel Harsch Investment Properties
- Mike Erikson, a founding Board Member of LMV and General Manager at KATU
The League of Minority Voters (LMV) seeks to empower the grassroots, both within the League and minority communities through education and training. Led by Promise King, the organization promotes respect for all individuals and the value of diversity in all communities at all levels. LMV is committed to empowering communities in the process of collective decision-making and deliberation for the common good.
